Training Contract This Training Contract is made and entered into this _______day of ___________, 19 ____, by and between _________________, hereinafter designated "Trainer" and ______________________, hereafter designated "Owner". Trainer agrees to accept owner's horse ____________________________ for training; and, it is the plan and the intention of the owner to contract for training horse. Trainer and owner mutually agree to the following:1. Owner agrees that the trainer is not liable for death, sickness, and/or accident including consequential damages caused to the horse while in training, except if caused by the willful and wanton negligence of the trainer. In addition, owner agrees to hold trainer completely harmless and not liable for any injury whatsoever caused to the owner, and/or any loss or damage to personal property. It is the responsibility of the owner to carry full liability and mortality insurance coverage for his/her horse, person, and personal property. 2. Owner shall pay the trainer for boarding services; for STALL - - $ _____per day, to including feeding ___________ hay, _______________supplements, daily cleaning, and bedding; and TRAINING $ ______ per day, for the course of training set forth in this contract. 3. Training fees are due every ____________days/month. A 10% late fee will be assessed for board/training fees not paid within 14 days of due date. 4. The horse shall be free of infectious, contagious, or transmissible disease. If your horse is found to be infectious, and you fail to inform trainer, and other stabled horses become infected with the same symptoms, the owner of the infectious horse will be held liable for any and all veterinarian bills that result from the transmission of the disease or parasite. 5. Trainer reserves the right to notify the owner within seven days of the horses arrival if horse, in trainer's opinion, is deemed to unhealthy or too dangerous for trainer to handle and train. Owner is responsible for recovering horse immediately and for paying all fees incurred. 6. If owner is completely dissatisfied with the training received, the owner reserves the right to refuse horse and trainer will then put 15 more days of "no cost" training into the horse. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE BOARD> If after these 15 days, owner is still dissatisfied, trainer will return horse to owner and refund 75% of the monies paid for training. 7. Trainer has the authority to contact a veterinarian for emergencies/regular care and owner will be liable for veterinarian's charges. _______(initial's of owner) 8.
